About DocuFidelity

DocuFidelity is a free website for everyday document work: a PDF editor, Word to PDF and PDF to Word converters, and tools to merge, split and watermark PDFs. It runs in the browser on computers, phones and tablets, with no account and nothing to install.

The name is the goal. A converted or edited document should come out the way you expect — same pages, same layout — and the site should say plainly where that isn’t possible.

Conversion and editing run on open-source engines on this site’s own server: LibreOffice for Word to PDF, pdf2docx for PDF to Word, and MuPDF for editing, merging, splitting and watermarking. No third-party conversion service receives your documents.

Word to PDF is regression-tested against Microsoft Word’s own PDF output for page count, page size, line breaks and text position. The editor’s placement accuracy and every tool flow are checked end to end in a real browser.

Privacy. Each upload is processed in its own temporary workspace in server memory and deleted when the response has been sent. There is no database and there are no user accounts. The privacy policy describes every step.

Honest limits. Every tool page has a “What to expect” list. Scanned PDFs are not OCR-processed, existing PDF text can’t be retyped in place, form fields can’t be filled in, and password-protected PDFs can’t be opened. We would rather tell you up front than have you find out after an upload.

Access for everyone. Pages are tested against WCAG 2.2 AA, work with a keyboard, and can be read without JavaScript. Text can be added in any script, including Hindi, Odia and Arabic.
